CAMU produces vertical lathes both standard and customized, the frame is made entirely of electro-welded steel, designed using a 3D software and optimized through FEM analysis. Basement, shoulders and movable cross rail are constructed so as to provide maximum structural rigidity.

CAMU manufactures standard and customized vertical lathes made entirely of arc-welded steel, designed using 3D software tools and optimized through finite element analysis (FEA).
The structure is provided with a close network of ribbing to ensure maximum rigidity.
The machine is composed of a movable crossrail with a vertical headstock for turning. Upon request, the machine can be supplied with one or two steel headstocks, automatic clamping and a rotating tool magazine with 14 tool change positions.
The numerical control systems used are made by FAGOR, SIEMENS, ECS or FANUC.
The measuring system employs linear scales and HEIDENHAIN encoders.
The manual faceplate can be replaced with an automatic self-centering chuck.
CAMU vertical lathes are used by our customers for all kinds of machining based on material removal. The main applications are in the energy sector, the oil sector and machining in general.
